A Little About Us
...

Norma Montenegro, LCSW

Although things may seem overwhelming at times, I know change is possible. I've seen this with countless clients and can guide you in reaching your goals. I will root for you, advocate for you and teach you the necessary skills to succeed. My commitment to our work is that it may be challenging, but you won't have to face it alone.

I am a licensed therapist who has worked in mental health as a Clinical Social Worker for more than a decade - I truly feel a genuine passion for helping my clients resolve their traumas and unhealthy dynamics to reach their goals.

You've already started the process of looking for help, which is the hardest part. The rest of the process, we can walk through together. Call or schedule a free introduction session so we can talk about your needs and see how I can help you break down the barriers that have occupied space and prevented you from living the best version of yourself.

My expertise includes working with unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression and maladaptive family dynamics.

I run multi-family group treatment that focuses on coping skills for managing a spectrum of mental health issues.

I have also worked in addiction medicine for one of the largest medical groups in the country and have extensive experience on methods for healing from substance abuse and behavioral concerns. By working on the underlying issues,  there is hope for long-term sobriety and recovery.

Additionally, I am bilingual as well as bi-cultural and use that lens to provide empathetic and inclusive care.  I am a firm believer in culturally competent care. As a person of color, I regularly educate myself on the most up-to-date evidence-based treatment for our community. I am a gender-affirming therapist who not only welcomes but celebrates LGBTQIA+ individuals. I will always provide a safe and empowered space for treatment.

My mission will always be to improve the overall mental health of my clients and support their therapeutic life goals, through evidenced-based methods, that work.

Jesse Velazquez, LCSW

I bring forth over a decade of dedicated experience, as a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in guiding individuals, couples, and families toward gaining the essential tools for cultivating improved relationships and fostering greater happiness in their lives. We start by acknowledging the courage required to take that initial step in seeking treatment and build from there.  Witnessing the profound changes that treatment can bring about has been a source of inspiration throughout my career and I hope to foster that positive change for you.  Additionally, I am committed to meeting you wherever you are, and together, we will navigate and overcome whatever challenges may feel overwhelming.

My expertise includes working with anxiety, depression, processing the impact of a health diagnosis, relationship dynamics, and family system issues. I provide individual, group, and family treatment for adults and adolescents who want to attain a happier and healthier life.

As a clinician, I utilize my bi-lingual and bi-cultural background to better understand the roadblocks and traumas that my clients may be encountering. I believe that this unique perspective lends itself to  addressing unhealthy core beliefs through an informed cultural lens. I promise to utilize my skills to create a non-judgmental space that will allow for vulnerability and healing to take place.

I do not promise to have all of the answers, but my mission is to support you on the journey of discovering and finding the answers that help you feel happier.  Let’s begin breaking down barriers and developing your true, authentic self.
